THE STORY OF JEAN D’AIGLE
1945 - Birth
Jean Soutter, inspired by Swiss nature, founded Jean d'Aigle. As a child, he collected local plants, dreaming of capturing their essences. In 1945, he realized this dream with the creation of Cologne Cyprus, mixing Mediterranean, exotic and alpine influences. The first factory was established in Marseille.
1960 - International Expansion
The brand is expanding into Africa and Lebanon, developing more woody and musky fragrances. Mayotte, the island of perfumes, provides exotic raw materials such as cloves and sandalwood.
1985 - A New Era
Marc Florens, third generation master perfumer, joins Jean d'Aigle. It brings a new dimension by bringing old scents back to life, giving colognes a raw authenticity.
2000 - Back to Basics
In 2000, Jean d'Aigle moved to Aubagne, reconnecting with Provençal traditions. Natural Cologne becomes iconic, reflecting the authenticity and tradition of the brand.
